Concrete pavers are made by pouring a mixture of concrete and some coloring agent into a mold of some shape and allowing to set. They are applied by pouring a standard concrete foundation, spreading sand on top, and then laying the pavers in the desired pattern. Pavers can be used to make roads, driveways, patios, walkways and other outdoor platforms.

Concrete is quickly becoming an essential element in today’s landscape due to its wide range of uses. Concrete can be used on sidewalks, patios, driveways, pool decks, etc. Concrete can be used naturally, and can also be stained in various colors and stamped with a variety of textured to resemble brick, slate, flagstone, stone, tile and various other patterns. It can be used as exterior and interior flooring.

Flagstone is a generic flat stone, usually used for paving slabs or walkways, patios, backyard flooring or fences. Flagstone is usually a form of a sandstone composed of quartz. The material that binds flagstone is usually composed of efflorescence, calcite or iron oxide. The rock color usually comes from these cementing materials. Typical flagstone colors are red, or blue though exotic colors exist. Examples include Pennsylvania Bluestone and Arizona Flagstone.

There are many types of exposed aggregate concrete available, created by varying the proportions of the main ingredients. They consists of large chunks of material in a concrete mix, generally a coarse gravel or crushed rocks such as limestone, or Granite, along with finer materials such as Sand. In this way or by the substitution for the cementitious and aggregate, the finished product can be tailored to its application with varying strength, density, or chemical and thermal resistance properties.

Travertine is a often has a fibrous or concentric appearance and exists in white, tan, cream-colored, and even rusty varieties. It is formed by a process of efflorescence Calcium often at the mouth of a hot spring or in a limestone cave. In the latter, it is frequently used in patio and back-yard, swim pool deck and walkway. Terracotta, “baked earth,” from the Latin terra cotta, is a clay-based unglazed or glazed ceramic where the fired body is porous. Terracotta tile surface embellishment in exterior surface. The term is also used to refer to the natural, brownish orange color of most terracotta, which varies considerably.

Mexican tile is a manufactured piece of hard-wearing material such as ceramic, stone, metal, or even glass generally used for covering floors and walls, or other objects such as tabletops. They can be used for exterior and interior surfaces. They can range from simple square tiles to elaborate Mosaics. Tiles are most often made of ceramic, typically glazed for internal uses.

Cobblestone is a natural building material based on cobble-sized stones and is used for pavement roads, patio back and front yard. In England, it was commonplace since ancient times for flat stones with a flat narrow edge to be set on edge to provide an even paved surface. This was known as a ‘pitched’ surface and was common all over Britain, as it did not require rounded pebbles. Such pitched paving is quite distinct from that formed from rounded stones, although both forms are commonly referred to as ‘cobbled’ surfaces.

Saltillo tile is a type of Terra Cotta tile that originates in Saltillo, Mexico. Saltillo tiles vary in color and shape, but the majority range from in varying hues of reds, oranges, and yellows. Saltillo tile is highly porous and soaks in liquid easily. Unlike most ceramic tile, there is no Glaze on the top surface of the tile. It is difficult to install as it absorbs water from the thin-set grout. They are also easily stained and scuffed.

Granite is an igneous rock that gets formed when exposed to a high heat. Its structure is crystalline, and tiles made from granite are very dense and strong. Granite tile strength is almost the same as porcelain. Granite is an ideal option for kitchen countertops, and using granite tiles instead of solid granite can also save you lots of money. It can be installed everywhere in your home, office, kitchen, lobby, or anywhere else in areas that often get stained or scratched through daily use.

Marble tile is a quarried material used for flooring that is from different areas around the world. It is know for its beauty but does have some less than popular maintenance challenges in installation and maintenance.

Porcelain tiles are ceramic tiles commonly used to cover floors and walls, with a water absorption rate of less than 0.5 percent. The clay used to build porcelain tiles is generally denser. They can either be glazed or unglazed. Porcelain tiles are one type of vitrified tiles and are also referred to as vitrified porcelain tiles.
